HushFlow ("we", "our", or "the App") is a background audio player for Android. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy describes what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.

By using HushFlow, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

2. Information We Collect

HushFlow collects minimal information to provide and improve our service. Most data stays locally on your device.

We may collect the following types of information:

• Device Information: Device model, Android version, screen resolution, and system language – used for compatibility and crash analysis.
• App Usage Data: Basic interaction events (e.g., which features are used) to help us understand usage patterns and improve the app.
• Crash Reports: Diagnostic data, stack traces, and device state at the time of a crash – to fix bugs and improve stability.
• Subscription Status: Premium or Lifetime purchase status (via Google Play Billing) – used only to unlock features.
• Audio Preferences: Your equalizer presets, playlist names, and sleep timer settings – all stored locally on your device.

We do not collect personally identifiable information (PII) such as your name, email, or payment details.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

• To provide and maintain the App: Ensure core functionality like background playback, queue management, and sleep timer works correctly.
• To improve user experience: Understand which features are most used, and optimise performance.
• To process subscriptions: Verify Premium status via Google Play Billing.
• To display advertisements: In the free version, we may show rewarded ads via third-party networks. These ads may use device identifiers to serve relevant content.
• To fix bugs and improve stability: Through anonymous crash reporting.

4. Legal Basis for Processing

We process your information based on the following legal grounds:

• Legitimate Interest: To operate, improve, and secure the App, and to show relevant advertisements that fund the free version.
• Consent: When you grant permissions (e.g., notifications, storage) or opt-in to rewarded ads.
• Contractual Necessity: To fulfil Premium subscription purchases via Google Play.

5. Data Sharing and Third Parties

We do not sell your personal information. However, we may share limited data with trusted third-party service providers to operate the App:

• Google Play Services: For distribution, billing, and authentication.
• Google AdMob: For displaying rewarded ads in the free version. AdMob may collect device identifiers and interaction data according to their Privacy Policy.
• Firebase / Crashlytics: For anonymous crash reporting and stability diagnostics.

These third parties are contractually obligated to protect your data and use it only for the purposes specified.

6. Data Storage and Security

All your playback history, playlists, equalizer presets, and preferences are stored locally on your device. We do not upload this data to our servers.

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect any data that is processed through our third-party service providers. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure.

7. Data Retention and Deletion

Your locally stored data remains on your device until you choose to delete it. You can clear all app data at any time via your device's Settings → Apps → HushFlow → Storage → Clear Data.

If you uninstall the App, all locally stored data will be removed from your device. Analytics and crash data retained by third-party providers are anonymised and stored only as long as necessary.

8. Your Rights

Under applicable data protection laws (including GDPR and CCPA), you have the following rights:

• Right to Access: Request a copy of the data we hold about you.
• Right to Rectification: Correct any inaccurate data.
• Right to Erasure: Request deletion of your data.
• Right to Restrict Processing: Limit how we use your data.
• Right to Data Portability: Receive your data in a structured format.
• Right to Object: Opt-out of data processing for marketing or profiling.

Since we store almost no data on our servers, most of these rights can be exercised directly by clearing app data or uninstalling the App. For any data held by our third-party providers, please contact us and we will assist you.

9. Children's Privacy

HushFlow is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately so we can take steps to remove it.

10. Cookies and Tracking

HushFlow does not use browser cookies or persistent tracking identifiers. However, our advertising partner (Google AdMob) may use device advertising identifiers to serve relevant ads. You can reset or opt-out of personalized ads via your Android device's settings (Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization).

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. We will notify you of any material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
